Elliott Insurance Brokers has had their biggest week in our history. This week we saw our company crack the BRW Top 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in Australia. We are also very excited to announce that we have once again been listed as one of Insurance Business’s Top 10 Brokerages in Australia. And to top it all off we have hired our 10th new team member for the year this week.
Our growing team
Our 10th addition to the team is Andrea Phillips who has been appointed as the head of our New Business team. Andrea has extensive experience serving national accounts such as Bupa and KFC and is very excited at the prospect of developing our new business offering.

We are heading for the top in Australia
On Monday our Elliott Insurance Brokers was announced in the Top 10 Insurance Brokerages in Australia by Insurance Business for the second year running. Our CEO, John Elliott, strives to constantly improve and evolve the services we provide. “I think the industry needs to stop living in the past. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. If brokers try to stick to tradition they will lose the battle against direct insurers and other models. It’s up to our industry to be leading the way, in technology, systems and support for our clients”.
Elliott Insurance Brokers also cracked the BRW Top 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in Australia, placing at number 52. This is great news for where once again our team feel incredibly rewarded to be recognised for another year of hard work.
Creating new opportunities and technology
This week we also launched our Australian first Bitcoin Payment option for insurance in collaboration with Perth’s Zheyna Tsyetnenko’s company, Digital BTC. We will be the first broker in Australia to use Bitcoin Payment options and just the second one in the world.
Our CEO, John Elliott, at 32 is one of Australia’s Youngest Insurance Brokerage owners and has no plans on slowing down – setting his sights on consistent improvement of his services and building his WA team. “We are set for $50 million in growth over the next 5 years which would place us as one of the largest Brokers in WA that hasn’t expanded over east. We can still service clients all over Australia, in fact over 50% of our new business is outside of WA. We strive to keep the jobs, money and servicing of our clients in the state that several generations of my family have helped build.”
Lending a helping hand
Elliott, along with the Chairman of Health Hope Zambia, Brendan Clark, were also proud to announce their partnership with US Firm Starkey Hearing Foundation. “Our official partnership this week with Starkey Hearing Foundation from USA means we will be providing free Hearing Aids and ongoing services for all the hearing impaired in Zambia that we can access”.
In what seems to be an unbelievable week, John Elliott was also announced by Entrepreneurs group, The Unstoppables, as a Founding Board Member. Elliott joins The Unstoppables 117-strong Australian Entrepreneurial expedition to Antarctica in January to collaborate on the future of business in Australia. The Unstoppables founder Julio De Laffitte announced Elliott’s appointment earlier in the week.
