Technology is becoming more and more advanced these days and it’s designed to make things quicker and easier. But do you find yourself still picking up the phone to speak to your insurance broker or to get a quote for a new insurance policy? Luckily, there are easier ways of communicating with your insurance broker which will save you valuable time.
Take Advantage of Online Quotes
Many insurance brokers now offer the option of an easy online quote which cuts out a lot of time for you. Simply fill in your information online and send it off. This will go directly to your insurance broker who will then obtain the best quote for you and get back to you. This also saves you having to run around trying to find details, such as your ABN, when you’re on the phone as the online form clearly tells you what information is required. You can fill out the form outside of business hours when you have a bit more free time rather than trying to fit in a phone call while you’re at work.
Remember to try and include as much information as possible in the online form as this will result in a more accurate quote. Your insurance broker will always contact you if they need any further information.
Flick a Quick Email
Sending an email is also a fantastic way to communicate with your insurance broker. Next time you have a question, flick an email through for a quick response. Most of us have our emails open in front of us all day and your insurance broker is no exception. It also means you don’t have to worry about this as you have everything in writing which makes things easier to keep track of if you need to check something later.
Check the Website or Social Media
If you want some general information about insurance, have a look at your insurance broker’s website. This provides valuable information around different areas of insurance and ca answer a lot of questions. It will also give details of the different insurers that your insurance broker uses and you can also look at their individual websites. Also, most companies will have a Facebook page which is great for interesting articles and up to date information.
Of course, if you prefer the old fashioned way, you’re more than welcome to pick up the phone and have a chat with your broker. Remember, your broker may also find it easier to give you a call when clarifying certain information for a quote. However, there are a number of other ways to communicate with your insurance broker and to find out information.
